There are lots of IT related degrees in Sri Lanka; to shine or get good job in these huge crowd we have to know what are the new trends going on the software industry & what the industry expecting from the Degree holders. This session conducted by  Hsenid mobiles one of the best mobile service solutions in Sri Lanka.

There are two persons come from the company one HR manager of Hsenidmobiles she talked about their company and  their structure and services. They are offer internships for our seniors. she told about what are expecting from candidate. Those information help us when we prepare for our next year interns.

Open Source

He mentioned that Open source software is getting more popular. Open source solutions geared toward the enterprise often have thriving communities around them, bound by a common drive to support and improve a solution that both the enterprise and the community benefit from (and believe in). The global communities united around improving these solutions introduce new concepts and capabilities faster, better, and more effectively than internal teams working on proprietary solutions.

It’s getting a trend more because, open source software’s code is often more secure because it is much more thoroughly reviewed and vetted by the community (and any issues that do arise tend to be patched more diligently). Long a point of hesitation for enterprise adoption of open source, concerns about security just aren’t an issue today.

Virtual Reality

For Virtual Reality (VR), 2017 is the year that content comes into focus. Hardware manufacturers will incentivize content creators and there will be increased investment in VR content led in large part by Asian-based investors. On the hardware front, manufacturers like HTC, Google, Oculus, and others will continue to iterate on their VR technology with a focus on computing efficiency and increased mobility.

 Everyone has started going online for their daily needs and hence we are leaving the trails our opinion, behaviour and choices. The data of traces created when mined would provide business with a good source of insight on market, consumer sentiment and employee productivity. By performing analytical operation on the data organizations can better understand their customer needs, preferences, their employee’s experiences and problems that require immediate co-corporate attention. With the help of Social computing Businesses are able to take a results oriented and business-led approach, focusing on specific issues and communities, soliciting membership and creating platforms for content, collaboration and transaction support.
