"Good manners will open the door that the best education cannot" this proves that our manners have more value in our Society. As a software Engineering student i should know about those things when i go to the industry. For this session madam made lot of plans  but finally  we plan to go SriLanka Institute Of Tourism and Hotel Management (SITHM) School  because of the time & money issues. we divide our batch as two teams & i was in the first team our team plan to go on 15th of November.

                                            The Table Setting
Table etiquette and ethics are very important especially when it comes to the corporate world and high class social gatherings. People usually tend to judge you by observing your manners. Thus, knowing proper table etiquette and ethics helps you to make a positive impression on others.

The first half of the session was spent on a presentation teaching us about how to dress for the occasion, how to behave properly, how to hand shake properly, different table manners followed by different nations and many more. It was a quite intera©ætive session, and the facilitator did a great job on explaining to us and we honestly learnt lots of new things.

                                          When to Start Eating
At a small table of only two to four people, wait until everyone else has been served before starting to eat. At a formal or business meal, you should either wait until everyone is served to start or begin when the host asks you to.

                         Passing Food Etiquette
Pass to the right (if the item is not being passed to a specific person). One diner either holds the dish as the next diner takes some food, or he hands it to the person, who then serves herself. Any heavy or awkward dishes are put on the table with each pass.
                                      Bread Passing Etiquette
If the loaf is not cut, cut a few pieces, offer them to the person to your left, and then pass the basket to your right.

Do not touch the loaf with your fingers, instead use the clothe in the bread basket as a buffer to steady the bread as you slice it.
Place the bread and butter on your butter plate - yours is on your left - then break off a bite sized piece of bread, put a little butter on it, and eat it.
                                           Soup Etiquette

      How do you eat soup?
Hold the soup spoon by resting the end of the handle on your middle finger, with your thumb on top. Dip the spoon sideways at the near edge of the bowl, then skim away from you. Sip from the side of the spoon. To retrieve the last spoonful of soup, slightly tip the bowl away from you
Always pass the salt and pepper together.

At last we thank for who spend their valuable time for this session and they wish for studies and career too. I thought serving foods is a work but after this session i understood it's an art. we are the people who from different part of Sri Lanka with different social status, but session help us to equalize our manners. We are very thankful to our madam Sarasi Senadheera & SITHM staffs for this wonderful session!
